East Quoddy, Maine (1859)

The East Quoddy lighthouse is located at the northern end of Campobello Island, which is the largest of a number of islands in the area of Passamaquoddy Bay near the Maine-New Brunswick border. The light is known to local residents as "East Quoddy Light". East Quoddy is one of the most difficult and dangerous lighthouses to reach. It is also located in one of the most beautiful scenic areas of any lighthouses.
