Cape Henry, Virginia Beach

This lighthouse is still active and sits on the southern cape at the entrance to Chesapeake Bay. Cape Henry is located about 350 feet southeast of the old tower. The octagonal tower is 163 feet tall and has the upper and lower half of each face alternately black and white making it a very distinctive marker.
